AstraZeneca Expands Market Presence

New office to expand operations in Azerbaijan

AstraZeneca, a manufacturer of prescription pharmaceuticals, biologics and vaccines, has opened its new office in Azerbaijan to expand its market presence - reported Fineko/abc.az.

According to the news source, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes has reported that the UK-based pharmaceutical company has been granted registration in the country. The company has named Russian citizen Oleg Ril as director of the new office.

AstraZeneca has been discovering new medicines, which are new in the industry and targeted to improve the quality of life of patients with reduced side effects. The company's product range includes Arimidex, Crestor, Nexium, Seroquel and Symbicort.

The company's subsidiary, Astra Tech is engaged in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of medical devices and implants for use in healthcare, primarily in urology, surgery and odontology.
