STYL’One Evolution Scale-up and Powder Characterisation at Production Speed

Leveraging on the STYL’One classic technology introduced in 2009, the STYL’One Evolution brings you new level of performances with a volume reduction at a speeds close to 700mm/sec.

Both punches are moving using the same technology, bringing you all the additional benefits of high-speed production press scale-up.

Multi-layer tool from early research to scale-up at production speed

The STYL’One Evolution provides full control of the compression cycle through its programming interface, including pre-compression and main compression, tamping and multilayer, dwell time and machine simulated. This flexibility allows you to simulate innovative presses such as the Comprima.

The STYL’One Evolution benefits from the flexibility and all the options of the STYL’One Classic. The measurement includes in standard four Sony transducers giving you the best technology available today for displacement measurement at high speeds. The force or displacement driven mode gives you all the options you will need for research and development (R&D).

Benefiting from similar software, the scientist can define the design space and then automatically perform the experiments in the most efficient way. The combination of automation and data acquisition makes set-up and easy and quick operation.

Single-layer version

This single-sided machine is fully instrumented with the most advanced captors and all R&D software options. It controls:

• In-depth analysis of powder characteristics such as sawtooth profile, pre-compression influence and strain rate
• Programmable dwell/maintain time from less than 2ms to more than two seconds
• Single-layer tablet production with a maximum output of 1,200 tablets/hour
• Hand-feed, gravity or forced-feed paddle fill shoe
• Force/displacement/ejection on both punches incremental transducers (Sony) standards
• Radial die wall pressure measurement (optional)
• ANALIS control and data acquisition software with the capacity of programming individual compression cycles
• High-speed rotary press simulation
• Possible connection to other lab equipment (such as scale, multi-check and hardness tester)
• Easy disassembling and cleaning of parts
• Main compression up to 30kN (50kN optional)
• Configuration for oversized tablets of more than 40mm diameter and 30mm fill (optional)

Easy scale up to multi-layer production

Dosing and tamping of each layer ensures the smooth creation of tablets. A single button allows for easy weighing of each layer independently. Multilayer is increasingly utilised for therapeutic benefits.

The complexity involved in producing such tablets is sensibly reduced using a Styl’One Evolution. Scale up to production presses is then immediate.

The multi-layer version also allows:

• Easy multi-layered tabletting
• Up to five-layer tablets, with up to three different powders
• Vacuum system to prevent cross-contamination between the layers
