Disc Bottom Outlet Valve, Glass/PTFE/PFA-lined Body

SchuF lined-body flush-mounted bottom outlet valves are frequently used for the dead-space-free emptying of vessels, reactors or pipelines and they are especially suited for use with low viscosity media.

These valves see extensive service in the bulk pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries- they are often used in the production of core active-ingredient acids and vitamins. The Type-25 bottom-outlet valve, with lining in glass (or other linings such as PTFE/PFA) provides a solution where customers require a custom-fitted valve with high corrosion resistance and complete proven operational reliability. The short valve-stroke allows the use of smaller, lighter and faster actuators, saving cost and weight. The glass-lined disc seals against a PTFE seat which in turn can be ordered in either extended or flat forms. When a flat seat is used, customers have the option of choosing a standard glass disc or a taller version which will further minimise dead space while still allowing easy flushing/cleaning. Valve actuation can be manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic, and further customisation and features (such as PAT functionality) are also available.
