news.Standard Process, a US based company providing health care professionals with nutritional whole food supplements, has launched a new, probiotic product, ProSynbiotic, to maintain a healthy and balanced gut ecosystem.

Standard Process said that ProSynbiotic is a mix of four research-supported probiotic strains and two prebiotic fibers, designed to support gut flora and overall intestinal health.
Standard Process claimed that by combining the research-supported action of good microbe (probiotics) with two prebiotic fibers that feed these bugs (prebiotics), ProSynbiotic helps make the gut a more hospitable place for our native bacteria to thrive.
ProSynbiotic provides inulin and galactooligosaccharides (GOS), prebiotic fibers that are indigestible but are used by the good bacteria for food in human body.
David Barnes, director of research and development at Standard Process, said: "ProSynbiotic contains beneficial probiotic microbes to help maintain a healthy gut environment. Having these ingredients together, the prebiotic strains and the food they use to thrive, in one capsule suggests that ProSynbiotic can provide the building blocks for a healthy microbial environment."
