IDBS, Vivenics to introduce new SaaS approach in Netherlands Pivot Park

IDBS has entered into an agreement with informatics firm Vivenics to introduce a now Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach for the Pivot Park, a science park in Netherlands.

It is expected that the users will be benefited from the local informatics knowledge, onsite support and increased flexibility through the managed services model.

Several pharma R&D organizations in the Pivot Park, which are business incubators, will be provided with a complete data management solution.

Vivenics will serve as a channel partner and offers a combination of its own software alongside IDBS’ E-WorkBook, ActivityBase, and SARview through a portal.

Vivenics managing director Petrik Cuijpers said that currently not many science and research parks can offer informatics support onsite.

"By taking up our managed service approach organizations can benefit from guaranteed continuity of service and a level of financial stability," Cuijpers added.

As a business efficiency, innovation and collaboration tool, E-WorkBook help scientists to streamline processes, capture knowledge and report more quickly and save between two and eight hours a week.

The IDBS ActivityBase Suite manages high volume routine screening and low throughput data management, whereas investigation of relationships between biological activity and chemical structure, enhancing scientific communication is supported by SARview that helps in delivering dynamic reports.
