news.Metametrix Clinical Laboratory, a provider of nutritional and metabolic testing services, has acquired Accu-Chem Laboratories, a provider of clinical, and occupational toxicological testing.

The testing performed by Accu-Chem includes analyses of body fluids and tissues for recognized toxic chemicals including chlorinated pesticides, volatile solvents, and polychlorinated biphenyls. These tests, which will fall under the toxic effects profiles, are beneficial for patients who have been exposed to toxic chemicals from various sources including work environments, toxic spills, and industrial land, air, and water pollutants, said Metametrix.
