Heparin is used to prevent clot formation in central venous catheters and is also used as an anticoagulant (blood thinning) therapy.
Heparin is availble in five new vial presentations in volume from 1 milliliter (mL) to 30 mL, and in concentration from 1,000 units per mL to 10,000 units per mL.
