Sharp EU Organisational Announcement

From today March 2nd, RoelKerkhof, currently the Site Director for our packaging facility in the Netherlands will be promoted to the role of General Manager, Sharp Commercial Packaging Europe. In addition to this role, Roel will also take responsibility for the Site Director’s role for our packaging facility in Belgium. A native of Belgium, Roel started working for Sharp in October 2012 and was the Site Director in the former TD Packaging facility in the UK prior to becoming Site Director in Sharp Netherlands, successfully transferring a substantial part of the UK business to the Netherlands during
the rationalisation process. Roel’s background is in Applied Economics and he brings over 30 years of experience in a variety of different businesses to his new role.

Bart van Doorn, currently the Finance Manager for our packaging facility in the Netherlands since September 2013 will be promoted to the role of Site Director for Sharp Commercial Packaging Netherlands. In this new role he will report to RoelKerkhof. Bart’s training is in Finance and he brings over 22 years of senior management experience from the Food Processing, Agricultural and Financial Services sectors with responsibility for businesses in
the EU, Russia, China and Australia.

Simon Hayes who has managed the Belgium site since September 2014 will support both Roel and Bart as they transition into their new roles and will remain closely involved with Europe. I would like to thank Simon for the support he has provide to Belgium over the last six months and I bet he will miss the 6.00am flight to Amsterdam every Monday!

Ivan Meeussen, currently the Finance Manager for our packaging facility in Belgium will be promoted to the role of Finance Manager for Sharp Commercial Packaging Europe. One of Ivan’s first projects will be to lead the consolidation of the finance functions in Belgium and Netherlands to a shared services model supported primarily from Hamont-Achel. Ivan joined Sharp in October 2012 and brings 15 years of experience from the Food Processing and Financial Services sectors to his new role.
