Medihoney is a line of wound and burn dressings containing 80% Active Leptospermum Honey and 20% natural gelling agents.
The product has been proven to help initiate healing in stalled wounds, and assist with fast debridement of non-viable tissue, the company said.
Derma Sciences chairman and CEO Edward J Quilty said the gel formulation would simplify application for caregivers and offers patients improved clinical outcomes.
