Parexel names new chief information officer

Parexel International, a biopharmaceutical services organization, has appointed Josephine Hoppe as its new corporate vice president and chief information officer.

Ms Hoppe is responsible for managing the company’s information technology initiatives and integrating technology solutions with business processes on a global basis.

Prior to joining Parexel, Ms Hoppe was the chief information officer (CIO) of Pegasystems, a business process management company, where she was responsible for designing and building a portfolio of enterprise solutions. Previously, Ms Hoppe served as executive vice president and CIO of CMGI and as CIO of Addison Wesley Longman.

Josef Rickenbach, chairman and CEO of Parexel, said: “Parexel’s unique position as both the leading eClinical solutions provider, through our subsidiary Perceptive Informatics, and as one of the world’s largest users of these technologies is an important differentiator in the value we are able to deliver to clients.

“In this regard, we look forward to Jo’s innovation and leadership in helping Parexel to achieve the strategic information management objectives of the company and its clients. She has a proven track record of achievements in the successful development and deployment of IT systems for critical business operations.”
