Synthetic peptide arrays
Peptide arrays are well suited to epitope mapping and assessment of immune responses in biological fluids (1). The company’s method of epitope mapping is based on non-covalent immobilisation of 12-15 amino acid peptide libraries on proprietary support. No modification of peptides to be immobilised is required. Therefore, the method is less expensive when compared to all known approaches to study arrayed peptide interactions with antibodies. Low material consumption, high sensitivity and parallel probing to many antibody or serum samples.
Spotting of phage particles on a support. Selection of high-affinity peptide binders by biopanning of phage display libraries. The method has first been designed to evaluate the IgG immune response in serum of AIDS patients before and after therapy (2).
