Isolators for Jetmills

FPS Food and Pharma Systems supplies isolators for jetmills to allow the micronisation for very high active products.

Barrier isolators allow the process of highly active products with mills. FPS Food and Pharma Systems’ customer oriented approach, is essential for the design of the isolator according to the end user needs.

The isolator is installed on a wheeled structure for easy placement. Different milling equipment may be installed inside the isolator; typical applications are mechanical universal mills, spiral jetmills and Q-mills: this interchange-ability assures the required flexibility of any development centre where different mill processes may be adopted.

Activities are performed by working through glove ports installed on front windows: circular or oval glove ports may be adopted. Product and tools are introduced and taken out via a ventilated pre-chamber or RTPs. An interlock system prevents simultaneous pre-chamber doors opening. Operator and environment protection is assured by extracting air from the glovebox through an HEPA filter by means of a dedicated suction system. Containment levels down to 0,1µg/m³ may be reached. Glove box purging is possible, with increased product protection.

Cleaning of the isolator is performed by means of sprayball and washing gun, according to necessities. The barrier isolator may be designed for installation in ATEX rated zones 1/21.
