BioCis Pharma's product pipeline is based on the proprietary ProtoDynamic Therapy Technology platform, which utilises compounds capable of modulating intracellular pH levels. The first compound to be developed for therapeutic use is cis-urocanic acid, an endogenous amino acid metabolite present in the mammalian skin. The active compound has been formulated into three unique ProtoCure products.

ProtoCure™ Emulsion Cream – Unique efficacy in atopic dermatitis

ProtoCure™ Emulsion Cream is a topical dermatology product for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Proof of therapeutic concept has been validated in multiple animal models of skin inflammation. Clinical Phase I and IIa studies have demonstrated excellent safety and tolerability for the product as well as promising anti-inflammatory efficacy.

ProtoCure™ Eye Drops – Targeting significant markets in dry eye

ProtoCure™ Eye Drops is a locally administered ophthalmic product for the treatment of ocular surface inflammation. Its main target indication is dry eye. Preclinical proof of therapeutic concept has been successfully validated in a murine model of eye inflammation, and the product is soon ready to enter clinical development.

ProtoCure™ Intravesical Solution – First-in-class treatment for bladder cancer

ProtoCure™ Intravesical Solution is indicated for the local treatment of non-muscle invasive urinary bladder cancer. The anti-cancer efficacy has been validated in xenograft and orthotopic tumour models. A clinical Phase I study is currently ongoing in patients with primary or recurrent bladder cancer.
