Disc Bottom Outlet Valve, Stainless Steel or other alloys
SchuF flush-mounted bottom outlet valves are frequently used for the dead-space-free emptying of vessels, reactors or pipelines and they are especially suited for use with low viscosity media.
These valves see extensive service in the bulk pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries- they are often used in the production of core active-ingredient acids and vitamins. The Type-25 bottom-outlet valve, in Stainless Steel, Hastelloy (or other alloy) body and trim, provides a solution where customers require a custom-fitted valve with high corrosion resistance and complete proven operational reliability. The short valve-stroke allows the use of smaller, lighter and faster actuators, saving cost and weight. The disc can open upwards into the vessel or downwards into the valve as per customer preference. A disc-rising valve is normally a flow-to-close design, as vessel pressure aids the sealing performance. The disc can seal using either a PTFE sealing ring or a hard-faced metal-to-metal seal, and actuation can be manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic. Further customisation and features (such as PAT functionality) are also available.
