news.Nycomed US has named Joseph LaRosa as its new senior vice president and general counsel.

LaRosa will report to Steve Andrzejewski, CEO of Nycomed US. He will be the chief legal advisor of the company and oversee all of the company’s legal and intellectual property matters and will also be responsible for the company’s compliance functions.
Prior to joining Nycomed US, LaRosa was vice president, Legal Affairs at Schering-Plough, where he served as a corporate officer and a member of the operations management team.
In over 15 years with Schering-Plough LaRosa led several critical legal functions including international, US health care and managed markets, marketing and sales, commercial law and M&A /licensing.
LaRosa’s experience in compliance includes serving as vice president of Global Compliance and Legal Affairs at Avon Products where he was that company’s first global chief compliance officer.
Andrzejewski said that LaRosa was an important addition to my executive leadership team.
"Joe’s broad industry and legal experience will provide us with the infrastructure to advance our business goals," Andrzejewski said.
