news.Innovation, a manufacturer of PharmAssist pharmacy automation solutions, and RxSafe have signed a partnership agreement that enables Innovation to distribute the RxSafe product line of automated, high density robotic storage and retrieval systems for pharmacies.

RxSafe’s core technology automatically stores, retrieves, and tracks pharmacy inventory down to the pill or package, while the he high-density storage systems handle pharmacy inventory in native packaging.
The RxSafe 1800 System provides secure robotic storage and retrieval for 1800 native prescription containers, storage and retrieval for the entire inventory of a retail pharmacy (up to 5400 native prescription containers) in less than 40ft² of floor space.
The retrieval system allows pharmacies to fill up to 500 prescriptions per hour and track prescriptions, manage inventory, eliminate theft and diversion and avoid expired product.
The RxVault System, which is based on RxSafe’s core technology tracks narcotics and other high-shrink inventory while providing a verifiable chain of custody, helping to ensure regulatory compliance.
Innovation Global Business Development executive vice president Doyle Jensen said the RxSafe product line complements their PharmAssist product suite, and enables them to offer customers the ability to automate up to 100% of their prescription volume.
RxSafe founder and CEO William Holmes said their partnership with Innovation takes full advantage of the considerable talent and technical strengths of both companies.

Innovation’s PharmAssist suite of pharmacy automation solutions includes PharmAssist OPTIx (optical counting and remote verification technology), PharmAssist Symphony workflow systems, PharmAssist SmartScale, PharmAssist SmartCabinet, PharmAssist ROBOTx, and PharmAssist High Volume Solutions.
