news.Germany-based biotechnology company Miltenyi Biotec has announced the worldwide release of the MACSQuant analyzer, a novel and compact flow cytometer for multiparameter cell analysis.

With this instrument launch Miltenyi Biotec broadens the product portfolio of the cell analysis business section and offers customers a milestone flow cytometer with novel features.
According to the company, the MACSQuant analyzer boasts many additional features, such as absolute cell counting, remote instrument control, and automated instrument housekeeping procedures. All of this is touchscreen-operated using an intuitive, user-friendly program: the MACSQuantify software. These features create an ideal instrument for core facilities, departmental collaborations, and individual laboratories, the company said.
Craig Fuller, product manager of Miltenyi Biotec, said: “Whether working with one or 96 samples, the MACSQuant analyzer can efficiently perform sample labeling and sensitive seven-color flow analysis in a fully automated fashion.
“Rare cell populations can be reliably and reproducibly analyzed by enrichment of target cells using the integrated MACS cell enrichment unit and MACS technology. With a wide range of reagents to choose from, the possibilities for the analysis of rare cells are extensive.”
