Neurology – Proven strategies to accelerate CNS drug development

We understand the particular complexities involved with running neurology trials across the spectrum of unique indications. Our experience ranges from supporting global development planning and submissions for neuroemergency trials, to developing regional recruitment strategies for pediatric epilepsy. We have nearly 200 professionals in-house – all experienced in CNS – to provide the level of support needed for the breadth of neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, sleep and stroke.

INC Research has established relationships with a global network of neurologists who have access to large CNS patient populations. As board-certified neurologists, these physicians are dedicated to protecting and treating the brain and nervous system. Many are board certified in movement disorders, neurophysiology, sleep disorders, electrodiagnostic medicine, pain, and pediatrics. Access to this experienced pool of CNS specialists helps us to accelerate patient recruitment and significantly condense enrollment timelines.

Pain – Understanding many models

To provide substantial evidence to establish the efficacy of a treatment for pain, the FDA and European agencies encourage evaluation of a test drug in as many models as possible. INC Research has conducted a broad range of successful pain-focused clinical trials using different pain models. Our key areas of clinical expertise in pain include chronic neuropathic pain including postherpetic neuralgia and painful diabetic neuropathy; chronic lower back pain; cancer pain; osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis; acute post-surgical pain; and migraine.

Psychiatry – Supporting progress toward new discoveries

Although remarkable progress has been made in defining and treating mental illnesses, some treatments are not effective for all persons or may have significant side effects. In providing support for global psychiatric drug development programs, we bring customers a team with vast mental-health clinical research experience. We have access to leading academic and private practice investigative sites, whose specialty is evaluating, diagnosing and treating the psychiatric patient populations customers seek. We’ve worked across all psychiatric indications including addiction, ADD/ADHD, anxiety and bipolar disorder.
