The RapidResponse platform has been selected for Novartis global TechOps organization, as part of a wider supply chain transformation initiative.

RapidResponse is a cloud-based integrated supply chain planning platform, which enables concurrent planning and manage supply chain volatility.

Kinaxis will help Novartis to enhance next-generation planning capabilities for improving speed, efficiency and collaboration for more effective decision making.

By using the Kinaxis platform, Novartis intends to improve inventory management and drive down costs.

After full implementation of the platform, Kinaxis will allow Novartis to maintain planning standardization across all divisions of the organization and use advanced analytics to manage the complexity of business planning.

Kinaxis CEO John Sicard said: “With the scale and complexity of supply chains for organizations like Novartis and a number of other leading pharmaceutical companies, it is critical to have an end-to-end planning solution that provides collaboration, transparency, and visibility of decision making across the organization, especially when those decisions can affect hundreds of millions of people globally.

“Kinaxis pioneered the concurrent planning technique that drives the kind of breakthrough performance modern supply chains need, and we are thrilled to work with Novartis, a world leader in their space, as they journey through their supply chain transformation initiative.”

The platform allows to apply concurrent planning to make quicker collaborative business decisions, enabling to reduce unexpected risks and track performance.

RapidResponse is a single cloud-based platform, as well as code base and data model that allows to synchronize all aspects of supply chain.

The platform helps to make KPI and accountability-based decision-making by creating complete supply chain replicas and capture historical context within seconds.

The ERP-agnostic solution allows to connect all internal and external data sources, including multiple ERPs, without duplication, helping to create unified, connected and digital enterprise.

Concurrent planning instantly and continuously balances end-to-end supply chain by aligning supply, demand, capacity and inventory. It also enables to synchronize sales and operations planning or integrated business planning.
