Mettrum gets Health Canada license at its Agripharm facility

This is Mettrum’s second license under the MMPR.

The license authorizes Agripharm to grow 9,000 marihuana plants at its facility located on 80 acres of appropriately-zoned land in Clearview, Ontario, prior to its scheduled renewal date of June 11, 2015.

Mature plants will be transferred to Mettrum Ltd. where they will be processed into dried marihuana, quality-assured and sold. Its first crop is expected in early 2015 and Agripharm is concurrently working to expand its growing area and other permitted activities under the MMPR license as issued on December 11, 2014.

"The licensing of our Agripharm facility ensures our ability to continue providing high quality medical cannabis to our existing customers and new customers," said Michael Haines, Chief Executive Officer of Mettrum.

"We’re looking forward to taking on new customers beyond our current registered customer base of approximately 2,100 patients and providing access to a legal source of medical cannabis for Canadians who have received authorization from their physician."

Agripharm was purchased by Mettrum in June 2014 and has a state-of-the-art facility that utilizes modular construction techniques, allowing for rapid expansion of capacity as required.
