For almost 200 years Johnson Matthey has been recycling precious metal. Today, we are experts in recovering metal that is dissolved in solution and in addition we are able to selectively recover other metallic elements and organic compounds.

Whether your requirement is for product purification, metal values recovery or to comply with local and national legislation , our Scavenging product range includes three support materials and over twenty five chemical functionalities:

QuadraPureTM: Functionalized polymer beads
Smopex®: Functionalised polymer fibres
QuadraSilTM: Uniform spherical functionalized silica beads

Many technologies already exist to recover metal, including crystallization and chemical reductions. However, problems can be encountered with all of these, including the loss of valuable product, loss of metal value and the shipment of hazardous materials. In some cases the metal levels are so low, that for economic recovery only metal scavengers offer a viable solution.
