Completely Automated

A typical 7-day water test using the traditional method requires more than 14 steps over the 7 days to determine sample release or contamination and that is with just one sample. The Growth Direct™ system automates virtually all of these steps. Once the user has prepared the sample, the device takes over providing incubation, counting, analysis and integration to LIMs system. The automated aspect of Growth Direct allows the microbiologist to focus on higher value work, only interacting with samples if contamination is found.

Cuts Testing time in half

Studies have shown that the Growth Direct™ system is able to uncover contamination in 66 hours vs. the 168 hours of a typical water test. The secret is the blue light. The Growth Direct™ system uses patented digital imaging technology to determine growth of organisms on samples. Equivalence studies have shown that the system typically spots a contaminant in about half the time of the human eye.

Easy to Validate

The Growth Direct™ system is NOT an alternative method, but rather an automated version of the existing compendia method. That distinction simplifies the validation process. Sample Available for ID

The Growth Direct™ system is non-destructive and uses no reagents. When a sample is found to be contaminated, the same sample can continue to incubate until the contaminants are seen by the human eye. That sample can also be analyzed with a microbial identification system.
