Olink Bioscience - Biomolecular Analysis in Research and Diagnostics

Olink Bioscience is commercializing cutting-edge technologies for analysis of proteins and nucleic acids revealing new insights into basic science, drug development and diagnostics. The products are available worldwide through a network of distributors and through the Olink webshop. The Duolink® product line enables users to visualize and quantify individual proteins, their interactions and modifications, in unmodified cells and tissues. Proseek® is an open assay development reagent kit for analyzing proteins in only 1 µl of serum or plasma sample with high sensitivity.

Olink's molecular technologies are also commercialized through partnerships with industry leading organizations such as Affymetrix, Life Technologies, and through Olink spin-out companies Halo Genomics and Qlinea. Olink Bioscience was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden.

Novel diagnostics and therapeutics

The company's proprietary Duolink® product line enables researchers in academia and the pharmaceutical industry to visualise and accurately quantify individual proteins, their interactions and modifications, in unmodified cells and tissues. Such information is crucial to help elucidate disease mechanisms, leading to the development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics. The Duolink line is marketed and sold through Olink Bioscience and a growing distributor network. A second revenue stream comes from the out-licensing of other proprietary technologies to major biotech supply companies.

Protein-protein interactions in unmodified cells and tissues

The Duolink approach provides new insights into protein-protein interactions. For the first time, individual proteins, their interactions and modifications, can be accurately and objectively quantified in unmodified cells and tissues. Utilising only a few cells, sub-cellular events, even transient or weak interactions are revealed in situ and sub-populations of cells can be differentiated. Within hours, results from conventional co-immunoprecipitation and co-localisation techniques can be confirmed.

Each Duolink kit consists of customisable kit components and can be configured to meet specific assay requirements. In addition to the kit components you will also need two primary antibodies raised in different species.
