NSF Pharma Biotech is known all over the world for the high quality of our training and education. Our programs have you covered whether you are looking to send one of your people to an open course for career progression (including becoming a qualified person or senior quality professional), to train a group of staff in house in changes in procedures and regulations, or to bring about culture change within an entire organisation.
We offer comprehensive training programs designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges of a global and complex pharmaceutical industry. Our programs are frequently global in scope and may be tailored to a local language and culture. We find that companies that proactively seek our educational services to prepare their staff and workforce are best prepared to navigate the regulatory and technical requirements demanded in the industry. However, many companies seek our educational services to complement consulting, remediation or other areas requiring improvement. Our solutions are robust and sustainable by your company and employees long after our trainers are gone.
Our tutors are experts in their field and typically have over 30 years' industry or regulatory agency experience. They are specifically selected for their ability to convey knowledge effectively and we support them through train the trainer programs.
Qualified person training
Our flagship educational program is qualified person training, which we have been offering since the 1990's in partnership with the University of Strathclyde, one of the premier universities in the UK. This program is the most highly regarded qualified person education program available; NSF-trained QPs are well respected within the industry and their status is recognised across Europe as best in class.
The course consists of 12 modules held over 21 months and it is carefully designed to meet the requirements for theoretical training as detailed in EC Directives 2001/20/EC, 2001/82/EC and 2001/83/EC and in the latest qualified person study guide.
The modules provide practical, face-to-face tuition in master's degree-level detail to prepare candidates for the challenging, demanding and ever-growing role of acting as a QP in today's pharma industry. This course uniquely focuses on the knowledge and practical decision making exercises necessary to build the skills and confidence for the QP role. Sufficient time and depth are provided to grow QPs to be the best they possibly can be and to prepare the candidates for the role, not just the assessment.
We work with you to maximise the chance for success at viva or international assessment and beyond. We provide unparallelled support, from training plan development and gap analysis to a supportive tutor system, QP skills training, support with application and revision interview, and a strong alumni organisation. Your chance of passing a QP assessment is higher with NSF than with any other provider.
Not everyone attending our QP modules wants to become a QP. Many use the training to develop as technical managers in other areas of pharmaceutical manufacture and control. Others attend as part of their continuing professional development including postgraduate qualifications through our university affiliation. In fact, we train more individuals globally through courses at their own sites than we do through the QP modules at our site. The syllabus is seen as essential to all technical leaders, managers and supervisors working in the industry supporting product realisation and release.
Training at your site
At NSF, we can bring most of our courses to your site, customised to suit your needs. We've even customised our qualified person training modules for a global market to deliver the same education, training and decision making exercises as our full QP program.
Programs consist of up to 10 modules covering an extensive range of topics and subjects to help develop your key supervisors, managers and leaders across disciplines. Clients often take the opportunity to develop staff across multiple sites to encourage culture change and new ways of linking work practises and decision making.
We offer complete educational programs tailored to your company and your business objectives or technology focus. Training at your site can vary in duration from half a day to five days. The optimum attendance is 12 to 25 delegates, although more or fewer can be accommodated.
We strongly believe that training is most effective when it is directly relevant to the activities performed by the attendees. We like to work closely with your company to design courses that your staff can immediately relate to and which answer their specific questions.
We also offer standalone courses drawing from an extensive library of cGMP, regulatory and technical topics. You may request any course we run at NSF to be customised for and delivered at your site.
